Community Bible Study

2021-2022 Class Year

Join us and see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Each class member receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions.

For the 2021-2022 class year we plan to offer classes in-person as well as an optional dedicated online core group. We meet weekly during the school year, from September to May. We will meet in small groups in-person at the church, then gather together to listen to a teaching on each day's lesson. The dedicated online core group will meet via a Zoom format, and a recorded teaching will be available.

Registration is currently open for all. Tell a friend!

This year's studies:

1 & 2 Peter

In these two letters, the apostle Peter offered encouragement to followers of Christ who were living as exiles and being persecuted for their faith. These books exhort believers to hope and godly living. They teach about godly relationships and warn about false teachers. They point to Jesus as our example in suffering and faith, and remind us that true security can be found only in God.

The epistle James is one of the most practical books in the Bible. This course's lessons encourage each class member to lead a more consistent, caring Christian life and to explore the practical application of faith in family and society.

Christian Living

This 12-week study of Philemon; 1, 2, and 3 John; and Jude contains plenty of practical guidance for living the Christ-centered life. The letters werewritten to encourage Christians to live lives of truth and love in the midst of cultures that did not necessarily embrace either. Class members will learn how to deal with false teachers, how to be sure of their salvation, and much more in this highly relevant course.

Next Gen Children & Youth Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives. We welcome your children to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS Children's Ministry.
